Education
In 2024, we sponsored 65 children in Bungoma, providing mentoring, school uniforms, shoes, books, medical expenses, and school fees.
Food & Housing Security
In addition to regularly providing the community with access to food, clean water, and support for housing, we trained 64 widows and 36 guardians to increase farming outputs, ensuring food security for over 600 family members.
Economic Empowerment
Practical training and counseling is provided, supporting proper hygiene, fiscal responsibility, and skill building for careers in computers and fashion design.

We are real people, making real change
Friends of Watoto is a volunteer-led registered charity empowering orphans and vulnerable children in the streets and rural areas in Bungoma County, Kenya. We do not just help the children, but also the adults who care for them, equipping them with the tools necessary for longterm success.
It all started with Cleophas Muyelele, an orphan himself, who was sponsored by a generous woman overseas. After being mentored and educated, he decided to dedicate his life to paying it forward. He has inspired a team of volunteers who share his vision and passion for rescuing the vulnerable from a life of suffering. This is done through providing food and clean water, housing support, educational opportunities, mentoring, counseling and relational support, along with occupational training for longterm success.
